Sunday 1st October brought the this year’s hugely enjoyable social bowling season to a close, just one day prior to the green closing until next year. Bumper numbers turned out for the final roll of the year, with a few members bringing food to share around – John Medcalf’s pizzas and Rose Yates’ brownies were the stars of the show.
In his closing speech of the year, Chairperson Peter Carr commented in usual fashion about how kind the weather had been to us once again, and thanked those who organise the social bowling each week for their contributions to the club. He let all members know that they are welcome to attend the club AGM in the clubhouse on Monday 13th November.
Social bowling is a cornerstone of the club, and really brings people together for a chat and a fun game of bowls, and we can’t wait until next season to do it all again! Thanks to everyone who came together today, the smiles say it all 🙂
