Waiting for begonia season to begin is almost as bad as waiting for the green to open in the eyes of our keen team of green-fingered volunteers. But it’s finally here, and this year, we’re pleased to announce that the flowers on display in the mini benches around the green have been kindly donated by Embleys Nurseries, just down the road on the A59 Liverpool Road at Much Hoole.
Although the begonias are only just starting to flower, there’s no doubt their colour will brighten up the area around the green in the next few weeks and continue providing colour for the rest of the season.
