Today saw the green receive the full treatment. John, Graham, Paul and Gail spent six hours from 7:30 Saturday morning giving the green its long awaited overhaul, which has been delayed for a number of weeks by rain.
The green was solid tined, verticut, mowed both ways, edges strimmed, lightly seeded, treated with a feed and watered. And to top it off Don brought his planters freshly filled with begonias to line the path in front of the Village Hall. This treatment adds to all the other flowers around the green that Graham and Susan have provided.
Pictures below show the hard work that went into making the green and surrounding areas look so fabulous. The bowling season feels like it has really begun!
Due to the green being treated, please can all bowlers wash their hands after bowling for the next few days.
Please join in thanking the green’s team and other volunteers for all that they do, it’s much appreciated.
