The green will open on this coming Saturday 23rd March 2024 from 1pm. The green’s team has asked that you do not practice on the green if it is raining.  As you may be aware, it has been an extremely wet winter and the team have found it difficult to fulfil all the jobs required on the green as the ground is still very soft. Also if you find that your bowls are making divots in the green during practice sessions, please be courteous and refrain from continuing or find a drier area of the green to practice where the ground will be harder. Please also note that the green will close for a day when we get a period of drier weather for some essential work to be carried out that the weather has prevented the team to do any earlier. It will not be on a match day!
There has been lots of activity down at the green these past few weeks as the flags all round the green have been power washed and grouted. Also some flags have been replaced. The sleepers around the green have also been re-stained with anti-slip paint. We cannot thank the volunteers enough who gave up many hours of their time.
