In the past few days, a lot of work has been going on at the green. Chris Coxhead painted the sleepers around the green whilst Peter Carr spent a lot time fixing a number of water leaks in the club house. We’ve also had a cherry picker down to replace the faulty light, but unfortunately the replacement unit was also faulty, so work is ongoing to get another replacement as soon as possible. We’d like to give a big thanks to Flue Direct for letting us have the cherry picker very cheap though.

On the green, Graham Moon, Dave Rostron, Paul and Gail verti cut, double cut, spiked and seeded. There is still work to do to treat the green for leather jackets, apply wetting agent, and finally apply a Spring feed.

Weather permitting, the green should ready to open in a couple of weeks – the date will be announced as soon as we know! We look forward to seeing everyone enjoying their bowling very soon.
