At the final Social Bowling afternoon of the 2022 season, Phil Dagnall kindly organised an extra bit of entertainment – a Who’s Who photo competition! Bowlers were asked to bring a childhood photo, and all were pinned to the board anonymously, with everyone then trying to guess which photo belonged to which person.
“Look at the eyes, they never change,” some said, while others checked hair colour or made a stab at what era the photo belonged in. A list of names of those in the frame was provided to choose from, but the challenge was still extremely difficult for most!
Once the entries were in, the names of the members were written on for all to see – the full gallery with names against faces can be seen below (click to view a larger version of the pictures).
Joint winners of the competition were pairs Susan & Graham Moon, and Carole Ingham & Gail Cafferkey, both guessing 21 faces correctly. Well done to everyone and thanks to Phil for organising the event!
The season drew to a close with one last presentation from Chairman Peter Carr and Lady President Janette Smith. Everyone agreed what a fabulous year we’ve had amongst such lovely people. Roll on 2023!
