Upgrades to the Tennis Section of the Clubhouse

After the tennis section at Hoole closed a few years ago due to declining membership, the rear half of what we know as the bowling clubhouse was left untouched. Furniture and equipment were left inside, and the outside was no longer being maintained. We decided it was in the interests of the bowling club to give the tennis section a spruce up, before it deteriorated further and potentially started to affect the bowling side of the building.

Mike Slinger took on the task of clearing out all the remaining clutter from inside, with numerous trips to the tip. The flagged area was weeded and the building itself given a rub down and a fresh lick of paint by a number of our club members. Looking at the pictures below, I hope you agree that the time and effort was worthwhile, and you’ll extend a huge thanks to John Medcalf, Mike Slinger, Anne Brogden, Ted Tuson, Gail Cafferkey and Paul Cafferkey for putting in so much effort for the good of the club.
