South Ribble In Bloom 2023

Last week, a flyer advertising the 2023 South Ribble in Bloom competition was brought to the club, and we decided to enter! After Graham Moon made sure the floral displays around the periphery of the green were in good shape and tucked in a couple of fresh pots of flowers, photographs were taken from various angles by Janice Cumberlidge. As only 4 photographs are allowed to be submitted for the competition, a shortlist of the best 8 pictures were shown to around 15 club members at the social bowling session last Sunday, each voting for their favourite four. The most highly rated photographs became our entry to the competition, and you can see these below.

If you’d like to follow along with the South Ribble in Bloom competition, you can visit the Facebook Page here. Keep your fingers crossed that you see our pictures on their page after the closing date of 31st August! In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy the gorgeous floral displays created by our members this year. Thanks to all involved with the planting and upkeep of the flowers, and to everyone for making the green and club such a pleasure to play at!
