As many of you will know, the green has been receiving some TLC by the greens team after the end of the Summer season. As part of this work, a soil report was ordered, and after receiving the results of this today, the team have realised they need to do a lot more work on the green to get it in to the state they’d like. So, with regret, the decision has been made that the green will now remain closed until the Spring, to allow this work to be completed. I know this is disappointing, given that we’d hoped to reopen the green for a few weeks after the essential maintenance was complete, but this is now not possible. I’m sure the extra efforts by the greens team will be fully realised next season when we finally get to bowl in our lovely green again, and I’m sure you’d like to join in thanking all the volunteers for their dedication.
