Dave Rostron wins Sheild

Bernard Flaherty Shield Awarded

This week, the Preston & District league games were concluded for the 2022 season. After the last match, Hoole Village Hall team captain, Mike Slinger, presented the Bernard Flaherty shield to Dave Rostron (pictured). The shield was originally presented by Bernard Flaherty for use by the Hoole Village Hall team in memory of his brother Gerry who died in 2007. The two were always keen to encourage new membership and envisaged it being presented to the most improved player. So well done Dave for being awarded the shield this year!

  1. A big thankyou to all of my team mates for the encouragement and support you have given me over the season. Well done to Mike Slinger in his first year of captaincy and getting us promoted as champions. Also a thankyou to Janice for taking the time out to get this up on the website. Cheers, Dave (DWR)
