The green team started at 7am today, to give the green yet another mini-overhaul. This time, the green was verticut, pencil tined and mowed in both directions by John, Graham, Paul, Brian and Gail. The process removes any blades of grass growing sideways instead of upwards, and makes the green even more of a pleasure to bowl on! Well-deserved bacon butties were provided by Carole. Lastly, Alex and Carole cleaned the gutters around the edge of the green, to give bowls a clean, soft landing when they fly off the sides (as they do a lot lately!). The green has been watered tonight, and we’re looking forward to seeing some great bowling by all our members. We truly have a great team! Thank you!
