Junior Bowlers at Hoole Village Hall Bowling Club

Junior Bowls Gets a Thumbs Up

For the past few Saturday mornings, a group of junior bowlers has been learning new skills on the green at Hoole and are progressing nicely! Our very own qualified bowls coaches, Phil, Dave and Janice, have been using mixture of skills-based lessons and fun activities to help the young bowlers get to grips with the game. The main picture shows some of the bowlers demonstrating their delivery action, which they’re all doing really well at. All the sets of junior bowls we have at the club were very kindly funded by Little Hoole Parish Council, so we’re grateful to be able to put these to good use in junior bowls sessions not only today but for many years to come.

Also in the past week, our other coach (also called Dave!) went into one of our local schools and taught over 80 children the basics of bowling – all in one morning!

There’s no doubt that children love learning about bowling and trying out their new-found skills on the green, and we’re really happy to see this happening at Hoole. Parents are also getting involved by coming to our Social Bowling afternoons, which is great!

If you know of any children that might like to try out bowling, you can find out about our current/future junior bowling course availability by clicking through to our Junior Bowling page.
