Sunday 18th September 2022 saw 24 players take to the Hoole green in the Cartmel Cup competition. Despite the combination of sunshine and showers changing the green conditions as the day progressed, an extremely high standard of bowling was produced. The overall winner was Chairman, Peter Carr (pictured above), who retained the title this year, and was presented with the Cartmel Cup by President, Janette Smith. Runner-up was Anne Brogden, whilst in the Plate competition, John Medcalf narrowly defeated Gary Hulme. A fantastic day was enjoyed by all, bringing this season’s club competitions to a close.
