All new members are welcome. If you have not played bowls before and would like some tuition to get you started, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We do have a small number of bowls for new members if you don’t have your own. New players are more than welcome to join us on social bowling days.

Visitors are welcome on the green when no league events are being held. However, you must pay the green fee of £2 a session. Non-members can play up to 6 times a year before the Club encourages you to join as a member.

All members will be subject to the Regulations of the Constitution, and by joining the club they will be deemed to accept the same, and any other Codes of Practice that the Club has adopted.

Fees must be paid before representing Hoole Village Hall Bowling Club in a Bowling Match. On payment of membership fees, all members are to pay an additional fee for membership to Hoole Village Hall unless already a member through other user groups.

How to Join

All members must complete a Membership Form with contact details. The easiest way to join is by filling in the membership form on this page, or pick up a membership form from the clubhouse, or click here to download and print the form yourself.

If not joining via the online form, please email completed membership forms to the Treasurer or leave in the clubhouse for collection.

Insurance

Our Club purchases its Combined Liability Insurance through BCGBA under a group policy arrangement provided by Howden. 

The Insurance Policy covers:-

Public/Products Liability:
£10,000,000 any one event (in the aggregate in respect of products)Cover provided protects your legal liability for damages and legal costs arising out of Third-Party loss, injury or damage in connection with the activities described above.

Personal Accident Insurance:
Insured Persons – All Club members with a valid BCGBA membership number and have opted into insurance as a membership benefit. No age restrictions.
Therefore, if any of our members who DO NOT have a BCGBA registered number then you will NOT be covered for any Personal Accident Claims on the Bowling Green. All league bowlers will have a BCGBA number, as it is a requirement, and some of our other members also do. If you wish to be covered for Personal Accident Insurance under our Insurance Policy then you will be required to purchase a BCGBA bowling number via North Lancs & Fylde County Bowling Association. Bowling Registration numbers cost £20 and is a one-off payment for life. Details here
